This is the use of Botulinum toxin, known as Botox to weaken the muscles that are responsible for some facial expressions. Over time this muscle contraction can cause wrinkles. Therefore we aim for a rejuvenated appearance by using Botox to reduce the appearance of these lines. We will discuss your goals, and an assessment of your individual face will be made prior to treatment.
Botulinum toxin has an excellent safety profile with treatments performed worldwide to millions of people.
However, there are a small number of contraindications. It is not safe to have Botox if you have any of the following conditions:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Certain neurological disorders (such as myasthenia gravis)
- Certain antibiotics and blood-thinning medication
- Skin infection over or near the area to be treated
- Previous adverse reaction to botulinum toxin
- Upcoming surgery

Dermal fillers are used to replace volume lost with ageing, as well as volume to structures such as lips for the desired appearance.
They are made of Hyaluronic Acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body but we make less of as we age. Hyaluronic Acid is hydrophilic (attracts water), so can therefore also improve hydration and skin appearance.
Treatment areas include the cheeks and lips. Results are immediate and last up to 24 months.
